Meet Paula!

Summer is right around the corner, which means longer days, breezy nights, and of course, vacations! I love to travel and get out of the city, even if it is just for a long weekend. However, I hate to be weighed down with luggage, and I want to able to pack quickly and not waste any time grappling with unwieldy suitcases. ‘Travel light’ is my motto, which is why Paula is the perfect bag for my weekend adventures.

This deluxe duffle bag offers the style and sophistication that typical duffle bags do not, while it is still soft enough to fold down and store. The zippered compartments are perfect for keeping my makeup and toiletries intact, and the detachable strap makes it easy to carry.

Of course, designing Paula is half the fun! I wanted my bag to be as bright and summery as the weather itself, so I chose Apricot Blossom for the exterior, and then I kept it simple and chic with a Pearl Sateen strap for the exterior accent. And the best part? No matter where I travel, I always recognize my very own personalized Paula from a mile away as she comes down the luggage conveyor.

"One of my favorite parts of my job is seeing what people come up with when they design a custom bag. Everyday I see combinations that I never would have thought of myself. I’d love to share an adorable bag that I recently saw come through our web store created by Becca C., from Dallas, TX:



DREA
Exterior: Moroccan Tiles
External Stripe: Key Lime Twill
Interior: Yellow Stone
Interior pocket: Snow Leopard
Strap: Key Lime Twill

You can use this bag all year long! The exterior is hip with a cool black and cream design. This is a nice, thick fabric that has a great texture. The external stripe and strap add a brilliant pop of color in Key Lime Twill. The interior is just adorable in Yellow Stone. This is a bright and whimsical pattern that will brighten anyone’s day! The interior pocket adds a splash of fun in Snow Leopard. This bag is even environmentally friendly with two eco-chic fabrics, Snow Leopard and Key Lime Twill.

DREA is a great bag because you can turn it inside out and you have a new bag! Plus, it's easy to find things!

When I took a trip downstairs to the production area, a particular creation on the Quality Assurance wall instantly POPPED out amongst the others. It was this bright and shiny combination created by Kari O., from South Bend, IN. at a LILL on Location party.

What bright and beautiful colors! You cannot help but notice the hot pink Strawberry Daiquiri on the exterior with the bright orange with pink paisley on the exterior pocket. These fabrics instantly make me think of summer and all of the bright, beautiful weather we have been enjoying over the past few weeks. The interior of this bag is so cute. I have been admiring the two fabrics for a long time, but I never thought of putting them together! The Fruit Cocktail contains pretty and summery stripes that coordinate nicely with summer outfits. The China Doll Brocade fabric on the interior pocket really compliments the dark pink stripes in the Fruit Cocktail. The China Doll Brocade adds a touch of elegance to the entire bag.

It is so much fun to see the unique combinations of fabrics that our LILL customers come up with. I am constantly amazed by the beautiful creations that I see. Each bag truly does reflect the personality of each person that designs it. I have had friends tell me that my custom designed DONNA bag is so “me.” My personality really shines through with that bag!"

Vacationing the LILL Way

There’s no doubt about it, these girls love LILL and fabrics.
Our LILL HQ fabric manager, Adrienne (of the ADRIENNE bag), is also one of the many LILL on Location reps in the Chicago-land area. On her visit to San Francisco, she met up with Clea the San Diego LILL on Location rep who also works with Shannon at an interior design firm.

Together they traveled to wineries and explored all San Francisco had to offer. They share a love for LILL and fabrics (and wine!).

Throughout their travels they could be found with their favorite LILL Bags in tow.

"A trip to San Francisco was the perfect scene for us to use our Lill bags- the styles, patterns, and colors helped us fit right in with the funky, fashion forward scene! We took our bags wine tasting in Sonoma County. They were roomy enough to store our picnic lunches and some goodies to bring home from all the tasty wineries and, of course out and about in the city - where we got lots of compliments! We filled them with trinkets from our travels, no matter how much you stuff in your LILL Bag, the straps are still comfortable for long walks around town. They helped us to avoid having to accept earth-unfriendly plastic bags for everything bought- perfect for San Francisco values and anywhere else! Lill bags make the perfect traveling companion." I fell in love with my TARA bag because the across the shoulder bag is a must when travelling! And with just 2 steps, she turns into a shoulder bag! So I got my BRIDGET bag in October and went to Las Vegas for Thanksgiving.
